Sylvie Meis, 45, was on holiday in Ibiza when the thieves broke into her apartment in Hamburg, Germany using an unusual trick.
The Dutch TV personality had just returned home from the Spanish party island last week when she discovered the break-in and plenty of her most loved accessories missing.
She had been posting regularly from Ibiza, looking happy and tanned as she posed in ʙικιɴιs on picture-perfect beaches or before she headed out to nightclubs.
The thieves made off with 25 designer handbags and jewellery that together was worth a total of £689,000, German media reported.
The police believe the robbers gained access to her flat by scaling the scaffolding that was attached to a neighbouring building as it underwent renovations.
They allegedly were able to reach the roof and force their way through a skylight. A ladder was also seized from the scene.
Most of the bags are said to be Hermes designer handbags, which typically sell for £8,600 to £21,500 apiece.
Police officers have reportedly secured evidence from the apartment, which will ᴀssist in its investigation into the heist.
The blonde beauty two years ago discussed her “addiction” to handbags, admitting on her YouTube channel that it “has gotten a little out of hand”.
Not long ago, she wrote about her obsession with her collection in Grazia, stating: “I can enjoy my Hermès bags immensely, knowing that they retain their value and even generate a return.
“My bags are part of my wealth, as are certain pieces of jewellery. If I had had a daughter, I would have given her my bags later.”
Sylvie, from Breda in the south of the Netherlands, was married to ex-footie ace Rafael van der Vaart from 2005 to 2013.
The Dutch attacking midfielder played for Tottenham H๏τspur from 2010 to 2012.
The former couple share a son, Damian Rafael, who was born in 2006.
Sylvie, who is a breast cancer survivor, married German contemporary artist Niclas Castello in 2020, but the couple separated earlier this year.
At current, the model, who boasts 1.4million Instagram followers, has not commented on the burglary.
